KW/FCBA Spring 2009 General League Registration
Ages 4 - 19
January 10th & 17th
On site registration will be conducted on both Saturdays 10th & 17th
(Location to be determined)
Online registration is scheduled to begin in December via this website. The General League will begin last week of January with tryouts for ages 7 through 19. The season will conclude in May with End of Season tournaments. Immediately following the regular season summer tournament teams will be formed beginning at age 8. These teams will play in PONY Baseball tournaments and optionally USSSA.
General League program changes include expanding Tball adding four year olds to the five year old Tball league this season. Six year olds will play Shetland. General League format is modified to align Mustang and Bronco divisions with the current format of the Pony and Colt/Palomino divisions. KW/FCBA Select Teams replace the Division I and Platinum teams. KW/FCBA Select Team tryouts are the week of Nov 10th.
Practice time and game schedules will be balanced amongst the General League and KW/FCBA Select teams. KW/FCBA Select Teams will play in the KW/FCBA hosted Select League and Tournaments. KW/FCBA Select leagues and Tournaments are open to non KW/FCBA teams as well.

Select Teams & Select League
The Select program consists of KW/FCBA Select Teams for ages 9 -14 and a Select League / Tournament Series hosted by KW/FCBA. The Select Teams replace the Platinum Teams and the Division I program in Mustang & Bronco. Select teams will be scheduled practice time for fields and cages beginning in December of 08 running through summer 09. Designed with the more competitive committed player in mind. Provides a league/tournament venue for those local community select teams already formed outside of KW/FCBA. Open tryouts for all interested parties in participating on a KW/FCBA Select team will be conducted by the league utilizing evaluators with no ties to the age they are evaluating. A consistent grading matrix will apply across all ages.

4 Year Old Program Adopted
The KW/FCBA Board approved expansion of the program to include 4 year olds. The program will provide play utilizing a Tee for the 4 year olds. The 4 & 5 year olds will play together and the 6 year olds will play under the current 6 year old format.

Grade Age Exception
The KW/FCBA Board approved an age exception allowing a player to play up with their grade (proof by report card is required).

Colt/Palomino Multi-Season
Based upon interest the Colt/Palomino will conduct two seasons in the spring. This is in the planning stages but is addressing those interested parties to play in a second league that would extend into the summer tournament season.

Coaches Training
The league will be conducting coaches training for league managers and coaches. The goal is to provide not only skills and drills for managers to implement in their practices but practice management including parent involvement. Hands on clinics on fields will be conducted tailored to the age.
